Accreditation bodies access the competence of the organisation.They can facilitate trade by promoting global acceptance of conformity assesment results of accredited conformity assesment bodies through mutual recognition arrangement among the accreditation bodies.

Conformity assesment bodies access conformity of products/services and suppliers to specification/requirements through activities such as calibration certificate inspection and testing

Does not confer technical credibility of the test result
